What does "competitive" division mean?
The competitive division will be typically a faster pace
This is our traditional style division with mixed levels
The competitive division will have a higher top-end to the skill levels. although all levels are welcome
We expect goalies in the competitive division to be at a higher level to be certain everyone has fun. The goalie is the one position that can drastically change the outcome of a game
Expect the competitive division to be slightly more physical
We will "let them play" as in giving more leniency to hard-fought plays but, zero tolerance for aggressive or out-of-control play.
There will generally be players in this level better than you. We expect you to challenge and push but, never allow the emotion of getting beat to affect your actions
Expect all our divisions to be fun and all players, regardless of division, to show good sportsmanship. Dirty or overly aggressive play is not allowed in any division.
What does "fun" division mean?
The fun division will be typically a slightly slower pace but, still a fun and challenging game of hockey
The fun division will have a lower top-end to the skill levels. although all levels are welcome
Goalies in the fun division can be newer to goaltending or goalies slowing down due to various factors
Expect the fun division to be slightly more relaxed
There will be a lower bottom skill level and we expect players in the fun division to adjust their playstyle to allow everyone on the ice to have a good time when it is needed
Higher skill players in the fun division should be prepared to slow their pace if needed and be understanding of the learning curve for newer skaters. Your goal should be to get your teammates involved as much as possible
