Parking: There is a large parking lot next to the rink with enough space for cars and, if you want, you can bring a camper. There is room for it in the parking lot.
Rink: 120 x 60. Full size nets. Full Size Boards. No glass. Refrigerated ice. follow this link for directions to the rink: Locations. We are playing at the Billy Lindsay Outdoor rink.
Games: 3 v 3 format with full size nets and goalies. 15 minute run time halves. 1 ref.
Schedule: posted schedule is expected to be accurate however, if ice is ready, we will attempt to shorten the longer breaks as we can to speed up the day and allow an earlier finish. Please plan accordingly and try to hang out as much as you can.
Shoveling and ice maintenance: We will have shovels but, feel free to bring your own. players will shovel between games. We will scrape the ice and lay down fresh water every 3 games or less often depending on ice quality throughout the day.
Equipment: We recommend slightly more equipment than pond hockey since there will be goalies to shoot at. Recommendation is Helmet, Shin pads, gloves, elbow pads, and any delicate areas wear protection. Required is helmet, skates, gloves, stick. You are skating at your own risk.
Food: There will be a taco food truck there for most of the day serving hot food and hot beverages like hot chocolate or coffee.
Beverages: Feel free to tailgate, we will not have beverage services outside of the food truck so, plan accordingly.
Donations and our usual power plays or penalty shots: Deadline for donations to decide which teams win the team competition is the start of the first game at 10:00AM on Saturday. That will determine how many powerplays and penalty shots each team gets. They will not be for sale at the event. Individual prize winners will be determined at the end of the day on Saturday. The final game will be preceded by an announcement of the individual winners. Prizes are listed below.
